At the southern tip of the Karmøy island lies Skudeneshavn. Formerly it was a thriving fishing center, which today has become a place for summer recreation. The town has preserved the old structure giving it a unique character.
Approach to the port leads between numerous rocks and shoals. Follow the marked waterway. Guest places are inside the bay in the town center. It may be shallow at places. The harbour is very well protected giving a good shelter in all conditions. Visitors may use bathrooms and toilets.
Between 29th of June and 2nd of July 2017 there will be an annual festival in Skudeneshavn, which attracts many visitors. Outside that period it might be busy in the harbour during sunny weekends..
There is a Haugesund airport on Karmøy with connections to Gdansk, Copenhagen and London.
